UHF Sensor

The UHF sensor is in the ultra-high frequency range, with fast signal depletion and short effective distance. Its main applications are PD detection or monitoring with less high-frequency electromagnetic noise, such as GIS, ultra-high voltage cables, cable heads and intermediate relay boxes.

The UHF (Ultra High Frequency) sensors can be used in UHV cable terminations, GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) or other very close high voltage devices to detect PD signals.

The UHF sensor can capture PD signals in the range of 200MHz-3GHz.

The UHF sensors can be mounted on EHV cable terminations, on the surface of HV equipment, or on insulating spacers for GIS equipment.
